“The development was inspired by the shortage of independent accessible living options in the market,” says Arjun Sami, Director of Ramwall. “Most residential properties do not adequately cater to individuals with mobility challenges or those seeking future-proof homes.“
“This project aimed to provide high-quality, accessible housing that enables residents to live comfortably and independently, regardless of age or ability. Achieving the Lifemark® 5 certification was a core design principle from the outset.”
Each of the five units boasts thoughtful design elements that prioritise accessibility without compromising on style or functionality. To ensure all residents can enjoy safe and comfortable living, the design incorporates several accessibility features, including:
- Step-free, level-access entry from the driveway to each unit, eliminating barriers.
- Accessible carpark spaces are positioned for convenience and ease of movement.
- Wider internal spaces, including doorways and hallways, for effortless mobility.
- Low-threshold showers and reinforced bathroom walls for future grab rail installations.
- Kitchens designed for ease of use, with lever-operated tapware and well-positioned storage.
Additionally, ease of living is at the heart of the units’ design. From natural light and low-maintenance landscaping, to fingerprint door locks and provisioning for AI infrastructure and future smart home enhancements, residents can be confident the homes will enhance daily living and help them maintain their independence both now and for the long term.
